Jesse specializes in designing large, complex structures in urban areas. His portfolio includes projects in a variety of sectors, such as multifamily housing, life sciences, higher education, and retail. Although he typically focuses on conceptual work, he stays involved in subsequent phases to ensure the continuity of design intent throughout the documentation.
Before joining SGA, Jesse worked for 12 years at Elkus Manfredi Architects as an associate and senior designer. There he honed his skills in large-scale projects. During this time he also became active in the ACE Mentor Program, which gives high school students an introduction to the fields of architecture, construction, and engineering.
Jesse earned a Bachelor of Science in Architecture and a Master of Architecture from the University of Cincinnati. Outside of the office he enjoys traveling with his wife. They typically choose a new overseas destination each year and spend two weeks there, immersing themselves in the local culture. Jesse also likes to photograph Boston, especially during the nighttime, which results in grainy, atmospheric pictures.
