Abbey has an exceptionally diverse portfolio of work. Her projects span multiple sectors, including commercial, healthcare, residential, life sciences, and hospitality. On a typical day, she divides her time between participating in client meetings, developing drawings or visions, and sourcing finishes.
Previously Abbey served for more than four years as an interior designer at Blair + Mui Dowd Architects in New York City. In that capacity she focused on a range of projects at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Earlier she worked for four years at GVV Architects in Burlington, Vermont – her home state. There she honed her skills in architectural collaborations.
Abbey earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in interior design from Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston. She developed a love for gardening while growing up in Vermont, and she manages to keep her green thumb active in New York City. One of her favorite pursuits is acquiring plants and sharing clippings with friends. A strong advocate of sustainability, she maintains an Instagram account that offers advice on ways that individuals can reduce their carbon footprints. She is equally committed to wellness, which she demonstrates by running marathons and practicing yoga.
