25-27 NETWORK DRIVE JUMPSTARTS THE TRANSFORMATION OF BURLINGTON, MASSACHUSETTS INTO A PREMIER RESEARCH AND INNOVATION HUB WITH NEW TENANTS The Broad Institute
OF MIT AND HARVARD AND VERICEL CORPORATION.
The 270,000-square-foot ground-up building immediately expands the footprint of two of New England’s most notable life sciences companies in genomic research and medicine, and signals the expansion of the life sciences epicenter north into Middlesex County.
At the gleaming 25-27 Network Drive, the science-orientated spaces owned by Nordblom, Inc. include office, lab and manufacturing facilities with associated surface parking and updated storm-water management system, plus site utilities and landscaped areas to accommodate the growing life science industry in Burlington. The building was originally planned for office space, but converted into lab use prior to construction.
Infrastructure follows strict FDA regulations to accommodate both tenants, including keeping the loading decks and lab areas separate. The prime property will house more than 700 workers and is expected to drive economic development throughout the area as other occupants eye the new innovation hub. The general contractor and Design-Build partner was The Richmond Group.
