Zach plays an important role in all phases of projects. Since joining SGA, he has assumed a wide range of responsibilities, including REVIT modeling, drafting details, and coordination with project managers and consultants to ensure that designs are preserved through a seamless construction process. Sustainability has been a passion of his since college, so he particularly welcomes commissions that incorporate features of renewable energy and that achieve low carbon footprints.
Zach feels two emotions when a project is completed. One is joy because the hard work has paid off. The other is excitement about starting something new and fresh. He also takes pride in the knowledge that he contributes to both successful starts and completions.
Previously, Zach served as an architectural intern at EYP Architecture and Engineering in Albany, NY. In that capacity, he worked on higher education and hospitality projects, focusing primarily on drafting and detailing.
Zach earned a Master of Architecture degree from SUNY Buffalo and a Bachelor of Environmental Sciences from SUNY ESF. During his studies, he spent semesters in Berlin and Tokyo. Outside of the office, he pursues an unusual hobby – glassblowing. This activity appeals to him because it requires a blend of artistic expression and hands-on manipulation, both of which he enjoys.
