Ting, a member of SGA’s Science & Technology practice, has a background in interiors, which influences her work on the layouts of office buildings and laboratories. Another one of her primary responsibilities is to prepare construction documentation sets. Her favorite project phase, however, is conceptual design because it allows her to draw on her creativity.
Before joining SGA, Ting worked part-time as an interior designer at Eastside Colab in Boston, specializing in commercial and retail. During that same period she completed her studies at Boston Architectural College, where she earned a Master of Interior Architecture degree. Ting also has three years of experience at architecture firms in Shenzhen and in her hometown of Wuhan, China. There she served as an exhibition designer for museums and commercial properties.
Ting, who moved to Boston to study, enjoys living in the city. In her spare time, she attends live music concerts across genres (although post-rock is her favorite), snowboards in New Hampshire, or paints – an activity she has enjoyed since childhood.
