Susan enjoys delving deeply into the technical aspects of architecture, which she attributes to growing up in a family of engineers. Her affinity for complexity serves her well at SGA, where she works on projects in life sciences and academia, from schematic design through construction administration. She immerses herself in each phase and always aims for results that generate the highest standards of client satisfaction.
The bulk of Susan’s previous experience took place at KMW Architects in Boston, where she spent 20 years. As a project manager at that firm, she completed many academic buildings, lab facilities, and corporate offices. More recently, she served as a project manager at CambridgeSeven, where she focused on luxury residential.
Susan earned an associate’s degree in engineering from Wentworth Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Boston Architectural College. Outside of the office, she spends time with her husband and daughter and manages, renovates, and gardens at rental properties owned by her family. She also did much of the construction and woodworking at one of the houses. As she points out, she’s “not shy around power tools.”
