Sarah, a multidisciplinary interior designer at SGA, actively applies her passion for inclusive and thoughtful interiors throughout the design process. Energized by forward-thinking clients, Sarah enjoys building rapport and strengthening relationships with stakeholders. Her unique approach lends itself to projects that require cross-functional collaboration and that overlap with SGA’s departments of architecture and branded environments.
No day is the same for Sarah, who relishes variety. Her responsibilities include program analysis, test-fitting, presentation development, design development, modeling, selection of finishes and furniture, construction documentation, and construction administration.
Before joining SGA, Sarah gained work experience as a design assistant at a commercial design firm in Lubbock, Texas. Her portfolio includes healthcare, civic, higher education, state and county government, corporate, and multi-family projects. Sarah obtained her educational foundation while in Texas, earning her Bachelor of Interior Design degree with minors in architecture and general business from Texas Tech University.
With an inclination to see out new challenges, Sarah takes an ambitious approach to her professional and personal life. Uprooting herself with a move to Boston, she has gained a new perspective. On a recent trip to the Cayman Islands, she used scuba gear to explore a sunken ship. For the past five years, she has also satisfied her taste for adventure as a tenacious obstacle course competitor at Conquer the Gauntlet and Savage Race, running 3-5 miles with 20-30 obstacles along with way. She feels a strong sense of accomplishment afterwards, especially after overcoming the 9-foot “Walls of Fury.” Feeling sluggish or out of shape? Watch out, because Sarah regularly recruits participants!
