Samantha immerses herself in every stage of a project’s lifecycle, including site surveys, schematic design, programming, design documentation, construction administration, and closeout. As a Fitwel ambassador and LEED Green associate, she also seeks to incorporate sustainability into her work, much of which focuses on laboratory facilities. Samantha loves getting to know future occupants of a space and delving deeply into their hopes, dreams, needs, and struggles. It’s important for her to cultivate a thorough understanding of an organization’s culture and work styles before the planning begins.
Before joining SGA, Samantha served as an interior designer at TRIA, where she honed her expertise in life sciences. She specialized in this same sector in her prior role at Perkins & Will, where she also worked on healthcare and hospitality projects.
Samantha earned a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Massachusetts and a Bachelor of Science degree in interior design from Mount Ida College. She is an active member of IIDA and a participant in its program for emerging leaders. Outside of the office, Samantha enjoys cooking and eating vegetarian meals, and watching Bruins and Red Sox games. Whenever possible, she travels with her fiancé (Nashville is a favorite destination), or they spend time at their lake house in Alton Bay.
