Nico, who thrives on architectural technology, has extensive experience in computational design, digital fabrication, 3D printing, model-making, and rendering. These skills come in handy in his role at SGA, where his responsibilities include consultant coordination, preparation of document sets, and collaboration with the Virtual Design + Construction practice. Much of Nico’s work centers on life sciences, a field that he views as contributing to the greater good.
Before joining SGA, Nico spent five years as a designer at Elkus Manfredi in Boston. There he focused on high-end retail and luxury condos. Previously, he gained international experience through internships at small architectural firms in Mexico and Guatemala.
Nico earned a Bachelor of Architecture from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a Master of Science in Architecture and Urban Design from Columbia University. Outside of the office, he gardens, spends time with his wife and baby daughter, and plays soccer with Jefe, the family dog. An Australian Shepherd, Jefe excels at catching and typically serves as the goalie.
