Since joining SGA’s architecture practice in 2018, Michael has approached each workday with enthusiasm. He loves the office atmosphere, the people, and the projects. He especially enjoys designing and conceiving ways corporate occupiers can use a space. Other favorite aspects of his role include master planning, creating environments that foster public engagement, and applying best practices in urban development.
Michael began his career as a designer at Cannon Design, where he focused on healthcare and honed his experience in schematic design, design development, and construction documentation.
Michael received a Master of Architecture from Massachusetts College of Art and Design (Massart) and a Bachelor of Arts in communications from SUNY Albany. During his studies at Massart, he served as vice president for the institution’s AIAS chapter.
Outside of the office, Michael pursues his hobbies of photography, graphic design, and pottery, one of the electives he took in graduate school. He’s better at shaping clay by hand than at the wheel, but he finds both activities therapeutic.
