Matt, a registered architect in Massachusetts and New Jersey, brings 20 years of experience in high-profile projects to his role at SGA. He joined the firm in 2015 because of its enticing client roster, but he’s since discovered additional advantages: outstanding colleagues he can mentor and founding partners he can learn from.
Matt’s favorite project phase is the conclusion because he finds it extremely satisfying to see a commission completed accurately, on time, and on budget. Today, he concentrates primarily on life sciences and corporate headquarters. Previously, he honed his skills in the academic arena during a 17-year tenure at The Gund Partnership, where he worked as a project architect. His projects there encompassed athletic facilities, classroom buildings, and dining centers at prestigious institutions across the U.S.
Matt received a Master of Architecture from Columbia University in New York City and a Bachelor of Science in marketing and art from Providence College in Rhode Island. Outside of the office, he plays lacrosse and pursues his hobby of woodworking: He builds furniture, restores houses, and helps friends with construction projects.
