Who We Are

Mariyam Mandliwala

Project Designer

Mariyam thoroughly enjoys her work in SGA’s science & technology studio because she thrives on devising creative solutions to problems, collaborating with colleagues, and playing a first-hand role in transforming the imagined into reality.  She also appreciates the variety of her responsibilities, which include sketches, documentation, design changes, accommodation of client requests, and adjustments to layouts.

Before joining SGA, Mariyam served as an architectural designer at Genesis, where she specialized in life sciences. Previously she gained experience in multifamily and single-family housing as a junior architect at Wolf Architects. As a college student, she completed several internships at such firms as Shed Studio, where she focused on office buildings; and at Space Designers International in her hometown of Muscat, Oman, where she used Revit to model building elevations and interior spaces.

Mariyam earned a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Boston Architectural College.  In her spare time, she sketches landscapes, paints with watercolors, makes jewelry, and cooks. Her favorite meals are inspired by her Indian heritage and her childhood in Oman.
