Since joining SGA in November 2020, Grant Griffith has emerged as a recognized leader in adaptive reuse and building conversion – transforming historic, underutilized structures into high-performing, world-class landmarks. With more than one million square feet of completed construction and contract administration across a wide range of project types, he brings over two decades of experience tackling some of the most complex design and construction challenges in the country.
Grant’s approach is rooted in a passion for thoughtful design, technical precision, and sustainable performance – principles informed by his prior military service and delivered with discipline, efficiency, and unwavering attention to detail. From concept through completion, he is a hands-on advocate and trusted leader who guides teams and clients through every phase of the architectural process.
At SGA, Grant plays a key role in defining project goals and driving successful outcomes. He works in close collaboration with building owners, engineers, contractors, and permitting agencies to develop clear strategies, set expectations, and ensure alignment across all deliverables. In addition to overseeing team coordination, he remains actively involved in project production – developing floor plans, renderings, and custom construction details.
Grant holds a Master of Architecture from Miami University (OH) and a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from The Ohio State University. After completing his undergraduate studies, he served in the U.S. Army and was deployed to Afghanistan. Now based in the Boston area, Grant spends his free time exploring regional destinations – always on the lookout for standout (and suspect) architectural details to share with his colleagues.
