An avid problem-solver, Deepa thrives on surmounting obstacles through every phase of a project from conception to completion. Over the course of her 15-year career in interior architecture and design, she has led successful programs across a variety of markets, including K-12 and higher education, student housing, corporate interiors, life sciences and technology, building repositioning, and luxury residential.
Deepa joined SGA, whose work she had long admired, in 2020. In her new role, Deepa focuses on complex projects in both academic and office environments. With each commission, she strives to merge aesthetic sensibilities with business goals, while encouraging collaboration from project partners.
Outside of the office, Deepa is active in IIDA. As a board member and vice president of professional development for the New England chapter, she oversees the planning of innovative programs that help members grow their careers.
Deepa, who was educated in both India and the United States, received a Bachelor of Architecture from Bangalore University. In her spare time, she fuels her creativity through Indian classical dance and piano lessons.
