Corie loves programming and envisioning, when she connects with clients and develops a thorough understanding of their needs and wishes. She thrives on the high levels of inspiration that pervade these phases and position teams for success.
Since joining SGA, Corie has focused on life sciences commissions that encompass core and shell, interiors, and tenant fit-outs. Her ultimate goal for every project is universal design: creating spaces that are inclusive and safe for all users.
Previously, Corie served as an interior designer at Gensler in Phoenix and subsequently in Boston. During her seven-year tenure, she completed many workplace projects for financial, professional service, and technology companies. Throughout her career, Corie has been active in IIDA and an NCIDQ Ambassador. She was the vice president of advocacy for IIDA’s Southwest chapter, and now is a member of the professional development committee for the New England chapter. A firm believer in mentorship, she also organizes study groups for designers preparing for their NCIDQ licensure exams.
Corie earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design from Wentworth Institute of Technology. In her spare time, she cooks Italian dishes, bakes treats (she has finally perfected her recipe for chocolate-chip cookies), travels, visits the beach, and renovates her 1890s Cape Cod-style house.
