Charles relishes the variety of his job responsibilities, which touch on all phases of a project. A typical day might include attending client meetings, solving challenges with engineers, working on deliverables, and kicking off conceptual design. Since joining SGA, Charles has focused on lab facilities, a sector that appeals to him because of its technical complexities.
Previously, Charles served as an architectural coordinator at HDR. During his five years at that firm, he specialized in lab design, but he also worked on selected healthcare and civic projects.
Charles earned the degrees of Master of Architecture and Bachelor of Science in architecture from Roger Williams University. Outside of the office, he enjoys photographing landscapes and architecture, fly fishing, auto racing, and cooking. After spending five summers working at a restaurant on Long Island, he started to think about becoming a chef, but, as he remembers, “architecture called.” SGA has plenty of gourmands on staff, but we realize that the culinary world’s loss is our gain.
