Over the course of his distinguished career, Bill has developed a reputation as a trusted advisor and mentor. Clients rely on him for thoughtful guidance on a variety of property-related issues. Colleagues appreciate his open-door policy, and they visit him regularly to obtain his insights on projects. The results are long-term relationships with clients, successful commissions, and happy employees.
Bill’s responsibilities at SGA vary from project to project. As he explains it, he does whatever it takes to get the ship upright and moving forward. Thus, he serves as partner-in-charge, project manager, designer, production overseer, detailer, spec writer, and construction administrator. He also presents regularly at town meetings and plays an integral role in the firm’s business development efforts.
During Bill’s 40+ year tenure, SGA has gained increasing recognition for its design accomplishments as well as for its reliability. Under his leadership, the firm’s portfolio has expanded to include some of North America’s most prestigious and technologically advanced projects in the commercial, life sciences, mixed-use, corporate interiors, and higher education markets.
Bill received both a Bachelor and Master of Architecture from Montana State University. He is active in many industry organizations, such as the AIA, BSA, NAIOP, ULI, and SCUP, and on several municipal committees. In his spare time, Bill enjoys traveling.
