Benjamin, who loves to solve creative challenges, specializes in laboratory conversions. His day-to-day responsibilities require a holistic, interdisciplinary approach that combines conceptual design, test fits, and collaboration with his colleagues in SGA’s interiors practice. He also seeks out opportunities to apply sustainable design strategies to projects – a growing trend in architecture for life sciences.
The two internships that Benjamin completed during his studies gave him a strong foundation for his current role. At Hacin + Associates he focused on multifamily apartments and office fit-outs. At Utile Inc. he gained experience in interiors and master planning.
Benjamin earned a Bachelor of Science and a master’s degree, each in architecture, from Northeastern University. In his spare time, he enjoys cooking a variety of cuisines, building models, gaming, experimenting with visual effects and 3D printing, and attending theatrical performances. Benjamin has been known to tread the boards himself: Starting in childhood, he has played roles in numerous productions offered by Shakespeare & Company in Western Massachusetts.
