Anish considers himself a “synthesizer.” He specializes in translating subjective client goals into practical designs, making connections between diverse ideas and objectives to produce a better final product. At SGA, his focus is on life sciences, a sector that allows him to promote the use of technology to solve complex problems. His ultimate goal is to make the design and construction process more efficient, sustainable, and socially responsible.
Before joining SGA, Anish served for two years as an architect at Elkus Manfredi in Boston, where he augmented his experience in life sciences. Previously, he spent four years at Perkins & Will in Los Angeles, working directly with the global healthcare director on a variety of projects. He also collaborated with the firm’s Building Technology Lab on research combining mass timber and robotics.
Anish earned a bachelor of science degree in architecture from Georgia Tech and a Master of Architecture with a certificate in real estate from the University of Southern California. He and his fiancée moved from California to Massachusetts so she could pursue her MBA at Boston University. After graduation they moved to New York City, where they enjoy exploring new neighborhoods and discovering galleries, parks, events, and restaurants. Anish also likes to read books in a variety of genres, play video games, and build creative coding applications with machine learning.
