BOSTON—SGA, a Boston and New York-based national award-winning architecture, interior design, planning, branded environments and virtual design construction firm, announced that the SGA-designed lobby of 99 High Street, an award winning 32-story 730,000-square-foot tower in downtown Boston, is now open.

“SGA’s architecture, interior design and branded environments teams collaborated to transform the façade, entry sequence and lobby at 99 High Street, a landmark building originally designed in 1971 by Pietro Belluschi and Emery Roth & Sons,” said Gable Clarke, IIDA, LEED AP, director of interior design and partner at SGA.“The repositioning effort provided expanded retail opportunities and important modifications to the building’s infrastructure.”

In addition, Ms. Clarke said that the new design incorporates a relocated corner entry, featuring a double-height glass façade for enhanced building presence and visibility at corner of Congress and High Streets.

“Guests and tenants will enjoy a distinctive lobby experience which incorporates natural materials and organic elements which serve as an extension of the nearby greenway,” Ms. Clarke said. “The design also features a refreshed “99” to be incorporated in signage elements as well as promotional collateral for the building.”

Prior to kick off, the design and launch of the $7 million renovation project, SGA’s innovative design concept was presented virtually, an approach that enables prospective clients to better visualize project space.
