Northern Essex Community College Culinary Arts and Hospitality Center

DELIVERS MODERN ENVIRONMENTS FOR LEADING ACTIVE LEARNING EXPERIENCES.

SGA proudly led the design and delivery of the Northern Essex Community College Culinary Arts and Hospitality Center (NECC). The project is situated on two levels within The Heights: an ultra-modern, 10-story and more than 75,000 square foot mixed-use building in Haverhill, MA designed by SGA. Encompassing 13,500 square feet, the project underwent a comprehensive process of programming, test fitting, interior design, kitchen design, and MEP/FP design.

The intricately planned space includes: support for academic areas, teaching labs, classrooms, and a dedicated career center. To align with NECC’s overarching mission and vision, SGA engaged closely with the client. Delving into the school’s culture and specific spatial requirements needed to ensure this project’s success. This collaborative approach informed the creation of a meticulous programming report, detailing every facet from areas and amenities to adjacencies and standards essential for the project’s success.
