SGA transformed Skanska’s 16,000 SF Boston office into a vibrant, hospitality-inspired workplace designed to support the company’s evolving workstyles and culture. The renovation expands and refreshes the existing space, rethinking the arrival experience, communal areas, meeting spaces, and training functions to create a more connected and adaptable workplace.
A reimagined entry establishes a welcoming first impression while thoughtfully incorporating Skanska’s brand, values, people, and projects throughout the space. Displays and architectural moments provide opportunities to showcase the company’s work and innovation, allowing the office itself to become an expression of the Skanska experience.
A large, flexible gathering area supports a range of uses, from informal interaction and social connection to structured meetings and events. A multifunctional training room can be configured to accommodate a variety of needs, while a mix of conference, breakout, and focus spaces gives employees options for collaboration, individual work, and smaller conversations. Refresh areas with food and beverage amenities support and activate these spaces, creating opportunities for connection throughout the workplace.
Warm materials, natural light, greenery, and varied furniture settings introduce energy and personality while maintaining a streamlined, contemporary aesthetic. The result is a workplace that balances the openness and connectivity of a collaborative office with the comfort and warmth of a hospitality environment, creating a space that supports Skanska’s people, welcomes clients and visitors, and reflects the quality and innovation of its work.
Skanska has received LEED v4 ID+C Silver certification for Commercial Interiors.
