Talent Acquisition Specialist


Summary

SGA is seeking an experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist to join the Human Resources team in sourcing top-notch candidates for SGA.  The Talent Acquisition position is responsible for identifying opportunities to build applicant pools, establish trust and partnerships with the managers, identify potential “fit” through effective interviewing, effectively administer the interview and onboarding process, and ensure a positive new hire experience.


Essential DuTies + Reponsibilities

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

  • Manage a full life-cycle recruitment process, from research and sourcing through the offer and acceptance, with both active and passive candidates
  • Source utilizing internet research, company’s career page, social media, networking, resume databases, job postings and other advertising
  • Conduct preliminary interviews with recruits to gauge interest, personality and salary requirements
  • Providing shortlists of qualified candidates to the hiring manager
  • Working with the hiring managers to promptly set up interviews via video, phone and in-person
  • Gather feedback following interviews
  • Create and update job descriptions
  • Perform reference checking and administer background checks
  • Advise leadership team on competitive research and market trends while offering strategic solutions for recruitment during changing business trends
  • Recommends new policies and practices to improve the attractiveness of the organization
  • Work closely with the marketing department to develop creative ways for addressing talent acquisition challenges
  • Respond to applicants’ questions about compensation, benefits and culture
  • Serve as brand ambassador at various events, like career fairs or on-campus recruiting events
  • Monitoring key Human Resource metrics, including time-to-hire, time-to-fill, and source of hire
  • Work with managers to determine future hiring requirements
  • Managing intern program by scheduling rotation and assignments
  • Ensure proper onboarding for new hires and the necessary paperwork is completed promptly and accurately
  • Build long-term relationships with past and potential candidates
  • Supporting the HR team in administrative functions

Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize daily workload
  • Hands on experience with Applicant Tracking System
  • Excellent understanding of full cycle recruitment process
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
  • Team player with the ability to establish collaborative working relationships
  • Ability to work in an extremely fast-paced environment while managing changing deadlines

Education + Experience

  • 4+ years previous working experience preferable as a Talent Acquisition Specialist
  • Familiar with architecture and design industry strongly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or relevant field
